This product is the CR Single-Cable Project North Star Variant Kit with the addition of a Leap Motion Rigel hand tracking sensor.It is equivalent to the Ultraleap SIR170, but was produced before Leap Motion’s rebranding.

The Ultraleap SIR170 in this kit is a secondhand item. We have confirmed that all of them are fully functional, but can’t guarantee perfect calibration up to Ultraleap’s exacting standards for finished products that carry their branding. We currently only have 20 of these sensors in inventory. Get them before they are sold out.

This kit, with the addition of a 3DOF IMU will allow you to build a headset that can deliver a compelling optically-see-through spatial interaction experience at very low cost. With the addition of a 6DOF sensor, like the T261 or XVisio XR50, you can complete a headset build that can reproduce most of the experiences made with Unity that have been depicted in Project North Star videos published by us and others. The same is true if used with a Lighthouse-based tracking system, and presumably with HTC’s upcoming standalone tracking sensor.
